Hi everyone!! Long time no speak!! Yes, yes, I know I've not been blogging regularly but I've purposely been under the radar for a while now for a number of reasons. But not to worry, they're not bad things. I'm just trying to develop and improve myself. I believe I'm going through a 'shaping' process where I'm learning more and more about myself and where I can clearly see God building character in me.
But I'm not here to bore you guys with all that stuff. I will say though, watch this space :)
Now, back to matters at hand. I have a friend of mine who is organising a Miss Congeniality pageant in Sheffield this March. It's so exciting as I've never attended a beauty pageant before and I'm really looking forward to it. The best part of it is that it's a red carpet event, so best believe I'll be getting my fleek on, lol. The contestants have been auditioning since last year, and I was tasked with the privilege of making advice videos for the contestants during their auditions. So, check out the video below - this was the last video I made where I advised the girls on their evening wear and on the cultural aspects of the pageant.
The main purpose of the Miss Congeniality contest is to raise awareness for sickle cell anaemia. The final stage of the pageant will be held before a live audience at the Sheffield Hallam Student Union in the city of Sheffield, so if you're in the city (or even if you're not!) come and support the cause! Details of the date, time and venue are in the flyer below, so make sure I see you there!! You can contact the following people to purchase your tickets:
Esther 07919 868809
Mary 07981 888773
Jennifer 07984 754580
See you guys on the 20th ;)
xo, Kike
