Created by a young couple, Peter Oladimeji and Tosin Obalade who share a common passion for fashion and business, Zere Fashion House is an online marketplace where Nigerian fashion labels are sold to customers in the UK. The Fashion House is currently working with designers such as Rukky Simone, Fabric Express, Slippers by Kene, Maju, Alter Ego and Lady Biba.
With a high demand in the UK for Nigerian fashion brands, the creation of Zere Fashion House will quickly saturate this gap in the market that is yet to be filled and meet the demands for Nigerian labels. Not only that, but with immediate plans for future expansion, the CEOs of the fashion house expect to rollout Zere Fashion House worldwide, so watch this space.
I'm currently wearing a Zere Fashion House special, buba and iro exclusively from Fabric Express. I absolutely adore it because I don't have anything like it at all and I feel like it'll definitely become a staple piece of mine. Before I go on let me explain what buba and iro is for those of you who may not know. Buba (blouse) and iro (wrap skirt) is a traditional Nigerian attire, formerly left to the likes of "mummies" and "aunties" to wear, the two piece attire has most recently become more popular with younger ladies.
The two piece attire is often made of soft and light fabric, normally silk, satin, or chiffon like the one I'm wearing. The texture of the fabric thus makes the attire extremely comfortable to wear and suitable for a range of occasions, from weddings, to dinners, to church services and even to casual outings. You can even mix and match buba and iro combos and prints or pair a casual top with an iro. There're so many possibilities.
Zere Fashion House stocks a range of beautiful buba and iro attires. Check out their website www.etsy.com/uk/shop/Zerefashionhouse
