One of the things that I absolutely love is curls in my hair. Curls are the prefect complement to a variety of looks, whether you're going for casual cool, street style chic, or totally glam, you can't go wrong with curls. So I thought I'd share this tutorial with you guys on how to get my curls.
Facts & Tips
• I have 600 grams of tracks in my hair, a combination of Peruvian and Brazilian hair in the following lengths: 1 x 12, 1 x 14, 2 x 16 and 2 x 18
• My leave out is actually natural. I have not relaxed my front hair in over a year now. The back of my hair (covered section) has not been relaxed for about 4 years.
• Because my leave out is natural I do straighten it with a hair straightener from time to time so that the texture blends in with my extensions. I oil it to protect from heat damage.
• Leave the bendy rollers in your hair for as long as possible to get more enhanced curls. If you're going for that super glam look try anywhere between 12-15 hours. Sometimes I even leave them in for a couple of days during the weekend. Trust me, the difference is so clear!!
• My curls can last anywhere between 2-3 days so I use my curling wand to enhance the curls when they're getting loose.
• Invest in a good round brush, like this one. It'll help to maintain the curls if they start going flat during the day. Just brush the hair in the direction you want your curls to fall. If you're not a fan of heat, ie curling wands and hair straighteners, this brush is a good alternative.
